Florida Girl Adventures May 2025

Every trip we try to do different things and explore more experiences to share with everyone that's going to be staying at our Pelican Beach Condo in Destin, Fl. This trip we took our new Self Driving vehicle for the road trip, which resulted in much less fatigue from driving upon arrival! And we brought more polywood furniture for our huge balcony, so there are now a total of 4 bar height chairs (for being able to see over railing easier), plus a new table, and a brand new chaise lounge for just hanging out, tanning, or a reading a book on the balcony.

And the whats a Florida Girl trip without adding some new Florida Girl Artwork to the condo. Above the new teal headboards in the guest bedroom are new original Florida Girl Artworks of a Coral Seahorse and a Hammerhead Shark called Hammertime. Both of these new artworks are available on Florida Girl products. These beautifully match the hand panted closet mural.

We updated our dining room table and chairs recently to a smaller counter height table. This means the chairs sit slightly higher, giving you an unobstructed view of the water over the living room furniture. It's technically a 4 place table, but we have 6 chairs total. There's room for the other 2 at the table, or they can be used at the counter as well! The console table was also newly painted to brighten up the dining area with an ocean teal.

This trip there was quite a bit of fishing that we did, from the shore, the pier at Ft Walton, and aboard the American Spirit. This was a huge boat with experienced captains and crew, and great pricing for a shorter fishing trip. Many fishing excursions are 8hr privately booked boats, which can be costly. A bigger boat means more people and the cost is divided out. Also has a cabin with A/C for those hot days. But you are almost guaranteed to bring back some fish, which they'll fillet for you right off the boat.

Once you've got your catch, many restaurants will cook it up for you. Right next door to the American Spirit is Tailfins which has a Hook & Cook deal for your fresh catch! It doesnt get any fresher than that! This was the best seafood we had all trip, fresh caught Amberline.

The new restaurant we tried out for our anniversary this trip was Marina Cafe. This is a great restuarant on the harbor with a quiet and nice view and great food! It has a unique menu with some great desserts on it as well!

And what trip would be complete without stopping by the Lilly Pullizter store in an outdoor shopping center nearby, where this trip had a really cool umbrella decorated walkway.
